The fun part - where you pick your colour palette. We address colour simultaneously through memories and momentuous expressiveness; meaning it allows us to remember and feel. Our eyes can pick up over 2 million hues - food for thought.
What does this mean ?
Building up a scheme follows spatial planning, surface hierarchy and tones. It involves deciding on palette mood, drawing out swatches and running colour pot samples. Once colours are matched and/or ascertained, a job run sheet is drawn.

Restoration
Everything from walls to woodwork is a collection of surfaces and contours. The idea of paint isn’t to hide imperfections but adorn and vitalize. Restoration is vital to rejuvenating spaces and allowing them to breathe again.
What does this mean ?
Restoration go hand in hand and is vital before repaint - it ranges from treatment of surfaces and varied types of patchwork i.e skim fill, base coats for larger holes, rebuilding plastered surfaces and installing plaster components, and wood treatment.

Tones &
Patterns
Big & bold is clean but it can also be monotonous. Patterns, half tones and two tones add dynamism and allow more play to light. It also allows you to create heirarchy in spaces and within a wall.
Being more than functional it also adds depth and reference.
What does this mean ?
When a hierarchy is established you're open to variation of colour within or between surface(s). Sections are ascertained, divided and paint edges created for new paint scheme to be applied

Spatial
Planning
Both closed and open spaces consist of wall(s), and so in a geometry i.e planar, cubic, etc. Light enters this geometry and bounces of the surfaces, objects and your pretty faces. Understanding light and openness allows you to dictate flow of the room(s) and better control ambiance.
What does this mean ?
Early consultation includes determining types of spaces, orientation and other factors involved in establishing mood and ambiance. It entails understanding client requirements versus available play of light and options that narrow into choice of moods and palette.

Textures &
Gradient
Anything from smooth to coarse, baggy to broadleaf - textures allow you detail - smooth textures to clean lines and coarse to add depth.
They’re also functional to building new surface when a wall is beyond repair.
What does this mean ?
Depending on the nature of texture needed, a medium and delivery is decided with a time frame, costing and painted surfaces to applied. Gradient is based on area of surface needed to be decorated and prior preparation for it.
